Independent public-record research
About Cook County Records
Effective date: 2026-09-10
Cook County Records connects local-government decisions, public funding, development conditions and property records. It is an independent research product, not a county office, court, recorder or other government service.
1.Follow a decision beyond the meeting
A vote may authorize a proposal. A later contract may identify a price. A completion record may confirm only one phase. We connect these records while preserving the difference between a proposal, an obligation and an outcome.
Start with a project timeline, a reviewed finding or a property address. The underlying official documents remain the authority for the facts they contain.
2.Five towns, explicit coverage limits
The property corpus covers Park Ridge, Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe and Kenilworth. Municipal evidence is a selected reviewed collection, not a complete or continuous record of every meeting or project.
The coverage page identifies the active source dates and gaps. A missing row never establishes that a permit, contract, payment or other record does not exist.
3.Who is responsible for the research
Cook County Records is the responsible publisher and reviewer of its original summaries, calculations and page templates. We attribute the underlying public records to their issuing agencies. We do not present fictional staff, professional licenses or institutional affiliations.
Read the editorial and corrections policy for our evidence labels, update standards and correction process.
4.Free discovery and paid research work
Core property facts, reviewed findings, project timelines, source references and guides are available without an account. Paid research plans and one-time products provide the tools and licensed access described on their product pages.
Payment does not change the evidence labels or make a source more authoritative. Compare current plans and products, or review the commercial API offering and its current availability.
5.Corrections and contact
Use the contact page for corrections, coverage questions, privacy requests and business inquiries. Include the page and relevant source document so the issue can be checked.
