READ THE CHARTS WITH CONTEXT

Public records. A clear counting rule.

We collect dated council and village board agendas from official archives, then look for a published set of topic terms. One distinct agenda document counts once per topic, even when a term appears several times. Separate same-day special agendas count separately. Charts update when a new source snapshot is published.

Agendas show planned business. They cannot tell us who spoke, how long a discussion lasted, whether an item passed, or whether residents supported it. We do not infer those things from keywords.

What is included

Documents dated Jan 1, 2025 through Oct 26, 2026. Sources checked Oct 26, 2026. Searchable agenda text only; omissions, scanned pages and archive gaps can affect results. Routine archive menus and repeated committee headings are excluded where the source format allows.

What a comparison means

The percentage is matching agendas divided by collected agendas in that same town and period. It adjusts for sample size, but does not make incomplete archives equivalent. These are keyword categories, which can overlap.
